FEEDING GUIDELINES:

A good rule of thumb is to feed between 2-3% of an adult dog or cat’s body weight daily. This should be adjusted depending on the animal’s age, Raw Pet Food Supplier Dog Eating Bone breed, health, exercise and stress levels. Toy breeds burn more calories and may need more food per pound of body weight than larger breeds. Puppies between 0-9 months of age may need as much as 10% of their body weight in food. Do not over-feed puppies as they should be kept lean enough so you can readily feel their ribs.

The amount of food you feed your dog or cat will change over time as he adjusts to eating a raw diet. They will eat more as their metabolism changes and their body adjusts to the new diet. If you notice your pet gaining weight above the ideal, (you should be able to see a nice tuck up at the waist as well as be able to readily feel the ribs) start cutting back on amount of food and increase exercise levels.
